2 Weekends

Pool Time:

24 hrs approx.

Classroom/Online:

16 hrs approx.

Total Instructional Hours:

40 hrs

Required Material

Alert: Lifeguarding in Action - 2020 edition: $58 +tax
CPR Pocket Mask with Gloves: $28.50 +tax
Fox-40 Whistle: $12.50+tax

Prerequisites:

Bronze Cross *can be an expired certification but highly recommend valid certification
Age 15yrs+
Standard First Aid & CPR-C (not the same as Emergency First Aid completed in Bronze Medallion)

Course Description

Nationally, and internationally recognized
Certified individuals are qualified to legally work as a certified lifeguard
Candidates will learn importance of lifeguarding principles, sound judgment and the responsibilities of this role
National Lifeguard (pool option) - can only be lifeguard at a pool
Expires in 2 years
Participants that cause a pool fouling resulting in a closure will be charged a $100 fee

Why do I need this certification?

To be employed as a lifeguard anywhere in Canada
Will not need to re-certify your Bronze Cross
