Designed for candidates who would like to advance their lifesaving skills and learn safe supervision in aquatic facilities
This certificate is a prerequisite for all advanced training programs including National Lifeguard and Instructor certification course
Object recovery & transport: demonstrate anaerobic fitness & strength for object recovery: starting in the water, swim 15 m & surface dive to recover a 4.5kg (10lb) object, surface & carry object 5m - all within 60 seconds
Rescue drill: starting in water, swim head-up to recover submerged manikin/victim 20m away, surface & carry manikin/victim 20m to starting point - all within 120 seconds
Endurance challenge: swim 400m within 11 mins (400 yd in 9:40 mins)
Participants that cause a pool fouling resulting in a closure will be charged a $100 fee
